Outfit: Tribal ruin

I have been scouring and searching and digging for a tribal print I like...
My issue wasn't even really finding a print I liked, because I have found some nice fabrics, but THEN, the piece is unflattering/not my style/expensive/etc.  I am trying to be better in my shopping and when it comes to buying trendy pieces, I like to go cheap!  Stay at home mom here... shopping on a budget!

I should have just started off my search straight away at the thrift store... especially now that I am back in blessed good ol' America... where thrifting and recycled clothes are in such wonderful abundance!

So, outfit inspiration for the day is from Chiara from The Blonde Salad.
She is pretty much daily inspiration and jealousy (the dream wardrobe of all dream wardrobes, although lacking a little in the vintage dept.)
She wore a Missoni top with leather shorts and some gladiator sandals, so here is what I came up with!  I love the simplicity of her look (see link!) and I have been running errands all day so it was perfect!

What I wore:
Thrifted tribal top ($3).  Custom  tailored suede shorts (from thrifted suede pants). F21 gladiators.  Secondhand Moschino purse.  Accessories from F21, kohls, ebay.

I am still waiting on some news to share with you guys!  Please send good thoughts and wishes my way if you can!

  1. This is very cool. Love the top. Accessories are perfect.

  2. such a good summery look, and the tribal print really flatters you :) the moschino bag is the perfect way to add some class! I'm not that big of a the blonde salad fan because I think her style is more about owning expensive things than about innovation, but that's just me :)

  3. That's genius! The suede shorts from suede pants! I've been trying to find leather or suede shorts vintage or thrift for months! But out of pants...hadn't thought of that! You found a great tribal print, by the way. Super vibrant. Oh, and I like your watch. I pretty much want your whole look, hehe!
