I have so much to catch up on!  So many pictures of so many fun things that have been going on this month!
We have been so busy with the new house that we have only been to a couple pumpkin patches, but I did get some great photos of my beautiful family!

It's so hard not to want to take a million photos in the fall.  Everyone looks good in fall colors and the warm, rich lighting that comes with the early evenings.  October is the month of a million of my favorite things and it's so hard to believe it is almost over and we will be in November already.  Halloween is tomorrow and I think I am ready! Hopefully Aveline will have fun trick or treating and get loads of candy!  I want tootsie rolls for days!!!

Outfit: Hi-top on the Hill

I don't know what it is about o.t.k. boots... you can call them hooker-boots all you want, but I love skirts and I love my super tall boots!
We took a little family trip up to Apple Hill today!  Got our fill of beautiful scenery, fresh pressed apple cider, crisp apple turnovers and lots of pictures.  It feels like you step back in time and feel the true meaning of fall.

What I wore:
Thrifted denim vest. Dress from F21. Boots bought in Europe. Longchamp bag.

A simple outfit for a simply awesome, fun, sunny crisp day.

On a blogging note... I am thinking of giving up on Chictopia.  I don't know if it really brings much traffic to my blog.  Sometimes it seems like more of a popularity contest website.  I don't know if it is worth the time or effort to maintain.  I would rather put more time into making THIS page better... adding and improving and linking up my photography page.
I do love outfit posts though.  Is there anything better out there than Chictopia?

ps... I'll be here!!!!

New Hair. Spare the Sad.

I have been rocking the bobbed hair for a while now... since last January... and I can work with it.  It's one of those cuts that takes a while to adjust to and work with and I do like it. My hair does have a lot of texture and volume to it so having it short like this can mean some extra work.  I don't think I am going to grow it out (not that it wouldn't take 2+ years to get long again), but the thing is, hair can make or break a look and with that, a mood!
I haven't been feeling like myself lately... what do I feel like when I feel like myself?  Well, I like to feel sexy, spunky, flirty, trendy, fun and happy.  Maybe a touch wild.  A splash exotic.
Who are my style icons?  Alexa Chung.  Audrey Kitching.  aaaaand Ms. Betsey Johnson:
So what did I do the other night?
Got myself some Betsey-ish bangs.
And I feel like a new lady again.
I have had a kind of rough few weeks... styling and fashion and writing has been put on the back-burner for durable rather than stylish looks and house maintanence and working on the most wretched classwork one could possibly endure!
My husband does not like me with bangs... but it's alright... he's happy if I am happy!
I need to retouch my color... my black is kind of faded, but I am contemplating doing more of an ombre coloring or splashing in some chartreuse...
Should I throw in a chunk or ombre the ends in this color?

Also... anyone ready for halloween?  I am so excited to get dressed up.  My costume is cheerful and sexy and super fun and totally me!!!

Thanks for bearing with me these last few bland weeks.  Got some good stuff coming up.

October Madness

My favorite month of the year!
And I haven't been able to keep up and tell you guys all the amazingness that has been happening.
I have photos, but none to post thus far.
Closed escrow and got the keys and have been working on it ever since!
Painting, baseboards, cleaning and unpacking madness nearly every single day.  It is ridiculous how much work there is to be done and I hope to never move again.
I love my home and I can't wait to share everything about it with you guys.  I am making it the home of my and my family's dreams as best as I can.

Here is the only photo I have to give you guys an idea of the color scheme of my home... it's a super crappy cellphone photo of my fireplace and hearth:
The colors are City Chartreuse, Antique Tin trim and Classic Silver on the walls..

Speaking from a fashionista's perspective, there is never enough closet space, but I will make it work.  I have an entire closet dedicated to vintage!  It is great getting my entire wardrobe back and I am dying for the weather to be consistently cool so I can rock some awesome blazers and boots!

My vintage collection has really grown and some I will be selling next month in November's Second Sunday Fringe Parkinglot Sale!  So if you are in Sacramento, be sure to come check it out... everything will be super-reasonably priced, and I have some pieces from Europe that are especially interesting!

What else can I give ya in a nutshell...
House - check.
My friend Denny had a surprise birthday and that was a fun break... these are some photos from my friend KTK...

The Yankees lost... boo...
My mom had a birthday!!! (more photos to come from that)...
Went to the Incubus concert which was EPIC (photos and video clip to come from that)...
Fall photoshoot at the pumpkin patch!
School is back to sucking balls...

Alright... back to the ball-suck school...
Hope you guys check back soon.   Once internet is installed I will be back on the regular!
Stay tuned!
